March 3rd, 2008 saw some of the best surf Texas has ever received. Luckily I had been researching the swell and wind predictions the previous night, prompting me to pack me bags for an early start. I spent the morning at my local taqueria playing the waiting game as the winds began to lay down. In an instant all flags pulled a 180 as the NW winds arrived, providing the whole Corpus Christi crew with some of the heaviest waves to come through in years. This freak chain of weather conditions caught everyone off-guard. Only the best of the best riders and photographers were on it, and scored respectively.
